Our Spaces
Located in Clifton, Bristol, Number Thirty Eight consists of twelve stylish bedrooms in a recently refurbished Georgian merchant’s house at the top of the City.
We offer the discerning traveller an alternative to the corporate environment of many city hotels and provide a contemporary ‘home away from home’ feel, focusing on providing our customers with the highest level of comfort and care.
With panoramic city views from the rear of the building and the vast expanse of Clifton Downs to the front, we are ideally placed for a short stop-over or weekend city break.
Reception & Bar
Our reception is open from 7am to 8pm daily where you will be welcomed by a member of our small and friendly team. We serve a selection of hot drinks, cocktails, wines and shorts. Pull up a bar stool or sink into the chairs in the window and enjoy a cocktail or order your drinks to your room.
Library
Take a seat in our library space for breakfast, order a drink or enjoy some down time reading a book or holding small and informal meeting. Please enquire with reception about booking this space for exclusive hire.
Lounge
Breakfast is served in our cosy lounge area where you can enjoy the warmth of our long burner in the winter months and stunning views across the downs or city skyline. Relax and unwind with a drink, put your feet up and help yourself to one of our magazines.
Terrace
Our Sun trapped terrace is hidden amongst the rooftops of Clifton offering a tranquil and comfortable space to relax. Place a drinks order with reception on your way down.
